Our family has lived and cultivated our land in Montefalco since 1568, the year (as documented in the Historical Archives of the City) it was first entered into the land register as "heredes July Simonis Moncelli".
Among our ancestors was Cardinal Gerolamo Simoncelli, great-grandson of Pope Julius III. In 1827, Maria Aloisa Moncelli was the proprietor of the property, a woman of such great culture and wisdom that she earned the appellation of “La Veneranda” ("The Venerable").
During her tenure, she paid great attention and care to the maintenance and production of the land, achieving excellent results in the vineyard and in the wines and olive oil produced.
Today, with that same passion and expertise, we continue to produce high quality products.
