The Montefalco DOC Rosso è the result of a perfect blend of three grape varieties: Sangiovese 65%, Merlot 10%, and native grape variety 25%. After aging for 18 months in oak barrels, it undergoes a 4-month bottle refinement, which enhances its structure and elegance. With an intense ruby red color, it is the right choice to accompany the specialties of traditional Umbrian cuisine.
Aroma: hints of red fruits, enriched by the lively notes of the native grape variety, reminiscent of wild strawberry and raspberry.
Taste: enveloping and well-structured, with balanced freshness and a savory touch that extends the finish.
Versatile in pairing, it shines with structured first courses typical of Umbrian tradition such as homemade tagliatelle with goose ragù. Also perfect with grilled red meats or roast lamb.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C
