The Montefalco DOC Rosso 2022 is born from the meeting of Sangiovese (65%), Merlot (10%) and a native grape variety (25%): a blend capable of expressing all the richness of the territory.
After steel vinification, in contact with the skins for 15-20 days at controlled temperature, the wine ages for 18 months in oak barrels and completes its maturation with 4 months in bottle. The intense ruby color anticipates a balanced taste in terms of structure and freshness.
Aroma: the nose opens with hints of red fruit, harmonised by the presence of the native grape variety, which completes the tones with sensations of wild strawberry and raspberry.
Flavour: a wine with good structure and alcoholic strength, considerable freshness and sapidity. Harmonious and well balanced.
Versatile in pairing, it is at its best with traditional first courses, such as tagliatelle with goose sauce. It is particularly suitable for red meats, especially barbecued lamb.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C.
