Montefalco Grechetto DOC 2024 is born from the careful selection of Grechetto grapes, vinified in steel to enhance their natural freshness. Its straw yellow color anticipates a refined bouquet, with delicate fruity and floral notes. On the palate it is balanced, with a pleasant sapidity and a structure that makes it perfect for various pairings. After a four-month bottle aging, it best expresses its characteristics of typicality and finesse.
Aroma: particularly refined on the nose with a bouquet that develops between hints of elderflower, broom, yellow-fleshed fruit (peach and mango), with a finish of aromatic herbs reminiscent of thyme and sage.
Flavour: excellent alternation between savouriness and freshness.
Drunk as an aperitif, it can accompany various types of cheese, while with meals it is particularly suitable with tartare and meat carpaccio, or paired with truffles, both white and summer. Excellent with moderately structured first courses and meat main courses. Also recommended with shellfish.
Serving temperature: 10–12°C.
