The intense ruby color with garnet hues anticipates a complex bouquet: wild strawberries, raspberry and sour cherry intertwine with spicy notes of vanilla, sweet tobacco and coffee. The structure is full and harmonious, with tannins present but well balanced by the freshness and warmth of the alcohol. After a traditional steel vinification, it ages for 36 months in oak barrels and another 4 months in bottle.
Aroma: hints of red fruits, morello cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry; balsamic finish with sweet spices: vanilla, sweet pipe tobacco leaf, coffee.
Taste: on the palate it is dry; the typical tannicity of Sagrantino is balanced by freshness and good alcohol content.
Wine to pair with aged cheeses, first courses seasoned with meat sauces. It can accompany well-structured meat dishes or roasts. Excellent for daring with modern dishes of the new trendy cuisine.
